A Remarkable Christian Family
When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don’t throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer. (Corrie ten Boom)
We will all face dark times in our lives.. Corrie ten Boom certainly experienced this. After living a peaceful, quiet life in Holland for decades, working in her father’s clock repair shop, her family was discovered aiding Jews during World War 2. This sweet middle-aged Christian woman and her older sister Betsy ended up in a German Concentration Camp.
Many condemned women came to Christ while standing on the threshold to eternity, because of the ten Boom sisters’ witness. In the evil darkness created by the cruelty of men, Corrie and Betsy clung with all their might to Christ and found hope, comfort and strength.
Later on in life, Corrie testified to the Almighty’s goodness in the midst of horrors.
No pit is so deep that He is not deeper still; with Jesus even in our darkest moments, the best remains and the very best is yet to be.
