A Dangerous Request

She Honors God

The strength of this woman’s prayer for her children leaves me in shock. Her phrase, “make them dangerous” challenges me, even though I ‘m childless. Could I be courageous enough to pray this prayer over my children, if I had any? Or even over myself? Because I’m 100% certain the Lord is delighted.

“I don’t ask God to keep my children safe, I ask Him to make them dangerous.” (unknown mother)

I came across Theresa Whiting’s post a few months ago, containing this quote. She shares some great insights from a mother’s point of view.

So this week, I decided to provide a link to Theresa’s post, called  A Mother’s Dangerous  Prayer.

This image came from Pixabay.com. Since we are all sons and daughters, I thought a roaring water lion would be appropriate.

My answer turned out to be yes. It’s two days later and I just prayed, “Lord, make me dangerous.”

Note: Yes, Lord. It’s a few days later and I’ve just prayed, “Lord, make me dangerous” for the first time. I have no idea how God will bring this change about or what it will cost. But that’s okay.
