I chose to use this image, because 90% of an iceberg is floating unseen, below the surface. Hidden ice is what sunk the Titanic. In the same way, a selfish person will only see what he or she is gaining. But they don’t see the terrible hidden cost. At least not for a very long time.
Unfortunately, believers can fall for this lie too.
So shallow Christians lose all the blessings Jesus wants to give them in this world. Because they just won’t obey and live life God’s way.
