Hidden in Proverbs
I don’t know why I didn’t notice this verse sooner. I’ve been a Christian for decades, but I didn’t see it until 2 or 3 years ago.
Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Whose hands have gathered up the wind? Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is the name of his son? Surely you know! (Proverbs 30:4 NIV)
Stunning, isn’t it?
Several hundred years before Christ’s birth, Agur, son of Jakeh, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote Proverbs 30 and asked this question.
Of course, we know the answer now. Jesus is the name of God’s Son. But the Jewish scribes and scholars must have been confused.
Guess we could call this a divine “Easter Egg.” The Bible has several.

Movie directors sometimes also put Easter Eggs in their films. For example, after fans started paying attention, they noticed that Alfred Hitchcock often made a brief appearance in his own films. Usually he was in the background. His 1944 movie Lifeboat starts and ends with the characters floating in a lifeboat. Yet Hitchcock snuck in an appearance even there; He was featured in an newspaper ad about losing weight.
