Billy Graham’s Word about American Culture

A True Christian Word

Our society strives to avoid any possibility of offending anyone – except God. Billy Graham

As a culture, we can’t please Jesus by celebrating the evil He died to set us free from.

Unfortunately I now live in a country which hates the Holy One of Israel. It shows in our entertainment and what we approve of legally.

Billy Graham’s wife Ruth said it best:

If God doesn’t punish America, He’ll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.

Feels true, doesn’t it?

There’s only one hope. We can still pray. Because thankfully, we serve a God of miracles and His specialty is changing hearts.

Holy Spirit:

  • Cause my society to hunger once more for holiness.
  • Break our hearts with a baptism of deep, personal conviction of sin.
  • Give each of us times of gut-wrenching repentance.

You’ve noticed it haven’t you? I’m calling out for God to move in the hearts of both Christians and unbelievers. We all need a divine cleansing.

Yep we use the Lords name as a swear word, nobody seems to care, we spend our time watching the mind numb box, and let all types of trouble in, We have in the UK lost 99% of our Christian studies in School, then we ask when rubbish hits us, where is God in this, we forget we tried to get Him out or our lives. Finally in our culture it weak to have Jesus in our lives, Without Him I am nothing.

Your nation and mine both have a powerful God-glorifying history. But think of the Jonah-sparked revival in Nineveh.

Wow, the truth of this message hits right between the eyes! And I agree with you that ultimately we still have hope, and for that I can stand with you in agreement over the prayer for repentance, inside and outside the church.
