Powerful Words for Today
I chose this image of a lighthouse set on a high cliff because it went so well with Mother Theresa’s quote:
If you judge people you have no time to love them.
Anyone in the lighthouse will automatically “looking down on” everyone else. That’s true of us too. When we judge people, we tend to judge them harshly.
A Cruel World
Our world is full of misinformation and judgmental attitudes. How often do we judge a celebrity based on what the gossip magazines print?
I know I’ve been guilty of this.
The more sensational the story, the more issues the company sells. Yet the piece often is slanted or even completely untrue.
Even worse, it seldom occurs to me to pray for these people—who probably are hurting from the ugly stories some writer made up about their private life.
Today we have more slander, misinformation and lies than at any other time I can remember.
As Christians, we need to become a source of kindness and compassion to everyone around us. Because that’s how our Master treated people.

True we should pray about what we hear and for the person spoken about. It hurts us terribly when people say harsh things about us.
Yes, very painful, until we develop tough “rhino skins.” We need to pray for those who slander us too.
