God-given Seeds
A seed planted in faith has to be tended to; watered by prayer and bathed in the sunshine of God’s personal promise. But all the plowing, watering and fertilizing is useless unless the seed germinates.
So the farmer waits and we need to wait on God too.
6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. (I Corinthians 3:6-7 RSV
When Jesus places a dream in your heart, please remember it was His dream first. Later it’ becomes a joint project between you.
Here’s my three ways to water the seed Christ has planted:
- Proclaiming any scriptural promises back to the Lord.
- Praying over the future dream the Holy Spirit placed in my heart.
- Praising Jesus for the work He’s presently doing in secret.
